& Raise Money for one of your favorite local charities*!

Raise money for the charity of your choice* by obtaining pledges from family, friends and co-workers for running or walking in the Minute Man Race! All money raised through these pledges will go directly to your charity chosen among the 50 local charities listed below that WYWL supports. Kids can raise money too by participating in the Kids’ Fun Run or by running/walking in the 5K Race.
Just follow these easy steps:
1. Register on active.com for the Race -
http://www.active.com/running/westport-ct/westport-young-womans-league-minute-man-5k-and-10k-race-2010
2. Create a Personal Fund Raising Page in which you designate your charity -
http://www.active.com/donate/WYWL and select “become a fundraiser” at the top of the screen.
3. Please note that the designated charity must be one of the 50 local charities that WYWL supports listed below.
4. Also, anyone can make a contribution by going to http://www.active.com/donate/WYWL and then fill in the box with the donation amount.

1. Download the Race Application
2. Contact friends, family and co-workers about your "Run for a Cause" campaign. Your supporters can send a check with the pledge amount payable to:

Ask them to include with their check a note that lists your name and the charity you have chosen.
